Le Sportif

Wearing: French Connection sweater c/o, Zara shorts- in stores,Stan Smith sneakers,Ray-Ban shades

Perhaps it's the wild World Cup fever or the fact that I am dressing in some sporting attire 70% percent of the time, but my true Sporty Spice vibes (check out that 90s hair flip at its finest) are showing their about face. Kudos to the Stan Smith for winning my undying attention even during sandal weather. Plus my favorite cricket sweater- a flashback to sweater stories- is the key item for breezy summer nights. It's a win win for all.

Sporty Sloane? You bet.

Island Daze

Wearing: Madewell popover,French Connection trousers c/o,Soludos espadrilles (lived in them)

Reminiscing about early mornings in my island mindset. Waking up in a morning daze was the perfect counterpart for pajama-like dressing. Each morning (disclaimer: I'm not an early riser), I would love watching the waves roll in Barnes Bay and soak in the balmy island air. Stepping out of my comfort zone with mixing brights was the perfect morning pick-me-up (along with guava smoothies and fresh fruit).

If someone wants to transport me back to island life; greatly appreciated .But this weekend's forecast will do, I suppose. Happy Friday.

Though I don't know much about the game of cricket, I can tell you one thing- they created a great sweater. As a person who used to over wear sweaters (circa 2007-2010), now I tend to only stick to classic sweaters borrowed from my brother's closet. I definitely surprised myself when I picked out this

sweater

from French Connection. Just like what they say about karma- what goes around comes around. Perhaps it's the same when it comes to clothing.

Instead of pairing the sweater a normal way (in my defense, I never said I was normal),  I wore my favorite playsuit underneath. Easy layering, I must say. Even though I will never play cricket, I will be happily sporting the sweater on the regular. Maybe sweaters are making a comeback in my wardrobe. I'll keep you posted on that.

Mint + Neon

Splendid Neon Baseball Tee  (also love this LNA option) // Asos Skirt // French Connection Shoes (last seen here) // Claire Viver Clutch // Ray-Ban Sunglasses // Hermes Bracelet // Bauble Bar Rings (old)

If you have been following my most recent outfit posts- see them all here- you will have seen my love for neon! During Spring, there is nothing I love more than bright, vibrant colors! I bought this shirt from Splendid in the depths of Winter, and cannot be more happy to finally be wearing it now! To mix it up, I paired it with a mint circle skirt. I love the freshness of mint and neon! Again, I'm wearing my favorite shoes from French Connection- they have metallic and lucite!!

Otte Blouse // J.Brand Jeans (old) // French Connection Heels // Julie Vos Animal Bangles c/o
// Michael Kors Watch // Julie Vos Necklace c/o // BaubleBar Monogram Necklace

I cleaned out my closet recently, only to discover I have no shirts in red, emerald, and orange. Because of that, this past week  I went to my favorite stores; Intermix, Otte, and Joie. While I was shopping, I bought three new shirts in all those colors. I love having a variety of different colors to mix and match! I tend to wear a lot more colors during the Spring and Summer too! I love this blouse I picked up from Otte. The simple cut makes it a versatile piece, but is chicer and bolder with the emerald color! (Emerald is the Color of the Year, too!) I paired with simple jewels and a fun, colorful pair of heels! I have to add, I am obsessed with these shoes! The lucite heel and colorful metallic are a super fun!
