Penny Lane Called

Long time, no talk. I have finally found the time to sit down and write a spanking new post. And what better way to return back to the interweb with a classic and beloved Penny Lane moment? No one can resist one and let's face it, the 70s look will probably never go out of style... or so I hope to think. The over the top coat is vintage Akris borrowed from my mother's closet, along with the flared (!!) cashmere sweater from Tory Burch. Man, how I wished I shot this sweater, that was sadly disguised underneath a toasty layer of warmth. Alas, I have learnt to never risk frostbite in the name of fashion. This sweater though.... I've become infatuated with ruffles and flares lately, as they add a feminine and girly touch to my otherwise chill wardrobe. Who doesn't like to have a little flirty swish to their everyday look? I stand correct.

Signing off with a spin on Penny and a swish on my sleeve

I'm back in the good old state of CT after a great time in Camden, ME with Lark Hotels. I had a blast exploring the coastal town and promise to dive deeper into the adventure with another installment of Sailor Travels.

Until then, enjoy this outfit from last week (watch the vlog here). As I'm always suffering from leather fever, it finds its way into my outfits some way or another. Yet, sporting a leather vest in hot and humid New York wasn't one of my finest moments, I digress.

The real magic of this outfit is what is underneath the vest. Per usual, the genius babes at Reformation created another piece that makes my wallet weep, but my heart soar. Their uber soft tees are already a staple in my everyday wardrobe, and this cheeky addition just adds to the collection. Sure it was an impulse buy, but I've worn it twice out and about, once to bed, and once to the gym. This tee and I will certainly not be go(ing) our own way.

Back in Benz

Wearing: Chris Benz jacket (old, similar here),Asos dress,Tory Burch wedges,Bauble Bar ring,Jules Smith choker& Asha by Adm charm

In the midst of an extensive closet clean-out, my mom came across this Chris Benz jacket from 2009  (fun fact, I actually met the designer around the same time). Back then, I used to sport the jacket with pajamas while playing in my mom's closet. My sartorial manner began quite early.

The faded mint color and militaristic details makes this jacket a new favorite. I'm still a massive fan of the designer- his innovative eye always stands out each and every season. Teamed up with lacy espadrilles (ya know to make up for the lacking femininity) and my tried and true lbd- the jacket stands out. Not to mention my make shift hardware of this choker and an Asha by Adm charm, creates a somewhat brand new piece. Old treasures become new favorites.... or something along the lines of that. You get my drift.

Silly little me, I just came across these long lost photos from Anguilla.... let's take a trip back.

In my past life, I swear I was a hippie. From my fondness of Woodstock-esque music to the self expressive vibes of the 70s, I am always drawn to anything that emulates those vibes.

This Reformation dress has cutouts, mock neck, and it's covered in peace signs- what more could I ask for? Despite the fact that I can't go back in time, I will dress like I can- of course, with a modern twist.

Peace, dude. x

How in the world is it November?! October flew by- my birthday feels like ages ago. I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited for this month. It's the beginning of the holiday season (53 days 'till Christmas!) and the weather becomes absolutely perfect. Above I'm sharing everything I'm loving this month. Holiday candles are burning in my room- the new

ones are my favorite! I've been wearing a darker lip more than normal. For someone who only wears lip balm, it's quite different. I am slowly changing up my room- needlepoint pillows add character and cheekiness to any room. Blair Eadie launched her

Bauble Bar collection

 earlier this week- this

happy necklace

is a favorite piece of mine! Matching crop tops and skirts are my new favorite combo- a neutral color like grey makes them chic not trashy. Cute beanies are perfect for staying warm and cute (the sparkle adds a nice touch). Hope you have a great weekend!
