Cherry Red

Wearing: The Reformation dress (old, shop similar below), Vince flats, Essex La clutch c/o

For every single social event last year that required some sort of  "fancy-shamncy" attire, I found myself bustling around to find a dress. This year, things will be different.

I promised myself to actually purchase a dress at least 72 hours in advance, compared to my old  adventures in overnight shipping (that ends up costing more than the dress itself). Not that these dresses aren't awesome or anything, but the STRESS that comes from last mintute shopping is sometimes higher than pre-test stress. Why? Beats me.

Once my favorite black-tie party rolls around later this fall, I hold my word to an instagrammed snap of the dress at least 48 hours (let's not get ahead of ourselves) before the shin-dig.

Pinky-promise.

Until we are faced with said situation, here is a dress that I bought two years ago and just got around to wearing it last month. Oh, the irony.

Wearing: Vineyard Vines tunic c/o, The Reformation skirt, Lanvin loafers, Asha ring c/o

Another day, another transitional outfit. I hate to sound like every single person in the Northern Hemisphere, but I'm completely and utterly done with Summer.

Thus, I hope this outfit provides somewhat of inspiration on how to dress for fall sans heat stroke.

Fisherman Forever

Wearing: LL Bean sweater, Levi shorts, Superga sneakers

I'm a creature of habit.

Which is something you might be surprised to hear considering part of this blog is revolved around my personal style.

Season after season, I hit a bump in my sartorial road which results in wearing the same pieces all the damn time. Don't get me wrong, as much as I love fast fashion and Queen Z (ara), staples are the center of my universe. (btw, this is a teaser of a project I'm putting together.... ohhh & ahhh).

Alas, staples rule the world and the ultimate one? A classic fisherman sweater. Shorts now, layers later.

Lace Limbo

Wearing: Keepsake the Label top, Levi denim from The Vintage Twin, Jack Roger sandals

The infamous awkward stage of switching seasons has begun. As I transition my closet over, pieces like this are essential as you don't want to be dressed eskimo style in sweltering heat.

Sweatshirt Gold

Wearing:Acne Studios sweatshirt,Stuart Weitzman boots,J.Crew skirt,Saint Laurent bag

After much convincing to myself that this sweatshirt was worth every little penny, I took the bait on Otte. Buyers remorse? Nope. It most definitely beats my oversized hoodies, to say the least. Perhaps one of the most known pieces of the Euro powerhouse, I finally jumped on the street style gold sweatshirt bandwagon. Never the less, God bless Acne and it's ability to win my heart with it's Scandi coolness and all that jazz. The best part of it all... weekend dressing just became a walk in the park.

On another note, today is my BIRTHDAY! I celebrated most of the weekend, so today will be a pretty low key day.

Coven Mood

Wearing:Asos top, Chanel skirt, Zara jacket,Chanel ballet flats,Topshop choker

Some serious coven moods today. At least, I'm already taking notes from Lacoste, and including some racing stripes and a lightweight anorak thrown over flowing fabrics. I think we all can agree I'm acing Runway to Real Life 101.... or yacht party gone dark... jokes, jokes.
