Aye, some proper apologies are due around this neck of the woods. Excuse my sparse posting from last week- winter break officially kicked in and with Christmas three days away, the festivities kicked in as well.

For keeping warm, as of late, I've been turning to XXL scarfs that cocoon my face. You can forgo the puffer jacket when a thick cashmere scarf is in the picture. Along with this colorful option, a camel cooconer is not only more versatile but also on point with the "whats what" at the moment.

I'll be switching between the two all winter long, but this pop o' purple? 'Tis the day to color! (as the rest of my outfit is monotoned.... baby steps, baby steps)

Camel Affair

Shh!! I'm cheating on gray with camel. Cue a color war, and I'm going neutral.

I couldn't help myself with the puns, guyysss...

Putting my hysterically funny self aside, this outfit is one of the two assembles I tend to wear the most. Well, I wouldn't necessarily count my XL sweatshirt and sailing sweats a "fashion forward" assemble, but just role with me here. The awkward limbo period between seasons (side note: it was snowing yesterday, hi winter) calls for formulaic dressing of t-shirts and basics; hence here. // And while I have your undying attention, holiday shopping? //

This past weekend, Mother Nature proved she didn't hate us and brought us a dose of sunshine. Then

bam

, it's snowing today. Alas, this past weekend gave us a little hope that Spring is on track towards us. On the topic of

 these Nike

have stolen my heart. With my personal style being much more simple nowadays, I am thrilled that sporty style is not going anywhere.

A couple of changes have been happening in my corner of the inter-web. Sometime today, I will be switching my domain over to a

If you ever look at a compelling outfit there is always some contrast. The outfit is full of different elements that seemingly work together. The pairing of these separates was quite spontaneous. And no surprise, they are all favorites in my wardrobe. I didn't notice until writing this post the contrast between each item from heavy knit to sleek leather and the mixing of prints. Having variation in my outfits is what I find keeps them interesting (I hope so at least!) and when it happens accidentally it is even better. Have a great weekend. x
