+ What are your favorites movies to watch?

I don't want to toot my own horn, but I'm quite the movie aficionado. Here are my five favorites (from chick flick to nail-biting thrillers) of the top of my head: She's the Man, The Good Shepherd, Clue, The Last King of Scotland, and 10 Things I Hate About You. 

+ I'm going on a road trip this summer, what music should I listen to?

On road trips, I think a diverse genre playlist is key to not losing your mind. I like a mix of indie-folk, classic rock and roll, some cheesy 70s (always a hit), old school hip hop, and alternative hits. I have several driving playlists on my spotify, but here is what I'm listening to at the wheel right now

+ I'm in need of a new mascara, and I know you only use cruelty-free makeup. Any recommendations? And, what makeup remover do you use? 

I only wear mascara when I absolutely need to, but I swear by the Tarte mascara. As for makeup remover, take some coconut oil on a cotton pad and rub gently. It doesn't act like the devil on your eyes nor does it leave any residue. 

+ My hair is super dry from coloring it and I have a lot of parties coming up! What should I do?

Sorry for sounding like a broken record, but coconut oil is my saving grace. If I have the time or I'm not going out in public, I like to slather my whole head in coconut oil in the morning, and then wash it out right before going to bed. If you prefer not to be a grease ball, thirty minutes of the hair mask does the deed just as well. 

+ What smoothies do you make the most?

If I could live on one thing for the rest of my life, it would be smoothies. Well, that's a hyperbole statement if I've ever seen one. Lolz, but smoothies are a staple in my breakfast and post workout snack. (Note that you can play around with the ratios depending on your preferred taste buds.)

Chocolate & PB Smoothie

- 3 or 4 frozen bananas (if not frozen, just blend with ice) 

- 3 tablespoons of powdered peanut butter

- 3 tablespoons of cacao powder or vegan protein powder

- 1 or 2 pitted dates (soaked)

- A handful of chia and flax seeds

- 8 to 10 ounces of almond milk

- A drizzle of agave nectar or some coconut sugar 

 

Coconut & Date Shake

( I normally make this shake when I'm very low on ingredients) 

- 3 or 4 frozen bananas (if not frozen, just blend with ice) 

- 4 pitted dates (soaked)

- 12 ounces of chocolate coconut water

 

Matcha Mint Smoothie

- 1 frozen banana

- Handful of ice

- 10 ounces of almond milk

- 2 tablespoons of matcha powder

- 3 tablespoons of cacao powder

- heaping spoonful of coconut sugar

- 3 to 4 drops of peppermint extract
